| Me he alojado este Aparthotel entre el 16 y 21 de diciembre y quisiera felicitarlos por sus funcionarios de alto nivel, Elisabet especialmente que en todo momento fue muy atento, receptivo e impecable profesionalidad. Muchos hoteles deberían aprender lo que es dar la bienvenida a los huéspedes y hacer su estancia agradable y tranquila. Felicitaciones a Elisabet que hace que su trabajo es el elemento más importante para el huésped. Incluso si había algo que no me gusta la atención y el afecto con que me trataron sería suficiente para volver al hotel y apuntar a mis amigos y familiares. Adriana Costa |

| Très très ravis de cet hotel, pour l'emplacement, l'accueil, le parking le petit déjeuner, le prix correct le confort des chambres. Le quartier est génial, nous avons trouvé des terrasses agréables et nous avons pu vivre au rythme des Barcelonais. Nous avons hâte de revenir. La première fois nous conseillons de descendre à pied pour profiter de l'avenue jusqu'à la place Catalunya ensuite nous avons pris le métro très pratique. |

NOUS REVIENDRONS AVEC PLAISIR! |

| Nous ne sommes restés que 2 nuits. Tout était très bien : confort, amabilité du personnel, emplacement. La chambre était très grande avec une terrasse immense !! et très calme (au dernier étage, sur jardin). Autour le quartier est très bien aussi, avec des restaurants très agréables, des rues piétonnes, et des places. Ce n'est vraiment pas loin à pied des sites touristiques principaux et le métro est juste à côté ! Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour et nous reviendrons avec plaisir ! |

| Wir waren mal wieder 4 Tage in diesem super gelegenem Hotel und sind erneut begeistert. Sowohl Restaurants, U-Bahn, Geschäfte etc. alles befindet sich ums Eck. Bei dem Zimmer haben wir absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Personal sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und freundlich. | Hemos estado el pasado fin de semana en este hotel. Totalmente recomendable. Uno de mis hijos creyó haber olvidado su MP3 (que luego encontró en su maleta). Llamamos al hotel y se desvivieron para encontrarlo. Muchas gracias al personal. Decididamente repetiremos.

| Estuvimos 4 días en septiembre y realmente fueron maravillosos. El hotel superó nuestras expectativas. Las instalaciones están impecables, muy cómodos la habitación, la kitchenette , el baño y sobre todo el balcón terraza con césped sintético, reposeras,mesa y sillas que tenía nuestra habitación. Un poco pequeño el placard. También muy buena TV de LCD y el aire acondicionado. La ubicación excelente. Pero sobre todo la atención de su staff, es lo mas destacable del hotel. Son muy amables, simpáticos y bien predispuestos. Esto es algo muy importante para viajeros del exterior como nosotros. Felicitaciones !!! Volveremos |

| El hotel no estuvo mal pero pasamos frío en la habitación porque en Barcelona estaba lloviendo y refrescaba y en el hotel todavía no tenían conectada la calefacción en las habitaciones (en la recepción, ascensor y pasillos sí la tenían). Por lo demás todo bien, en recepción fueron muy amables y la habitación y el baño están geniales.

| We stayed at Siver for 9 nights. We loved it. The location was absoluteley perfect as it allowed us access to all the main sights with the metro but still provided a lopvely setting for strolls among the many plazas in Gracia. Our room was confortable, had great AC, good amenities and particularly we enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace. I would enthusiastically recommend this hotel!

| Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Hotel, diesmal fast eine Woche, und waren erneut sehr zufrieden: Das Haus ist bequem gelegen, es hat sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, das Zimmer war passend eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Mehr braucht man nicht, um sich wohlzufühlen. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen!

This is a very pleasant hotel, in a very good location.
Situated in a quiet side street, within 250 metres of Fontana station on Line 3 of the Metro only 3 stops North of Placa Catalunya.
Hotel has its own secure underground car park for which it charges.
Staff are all warm, friendly, welcoming and with a good command of English language.
Extremely pleasant garden breakfast area.
An Aparthotel with rooms have a small kitchen area behind folding doors. 2 ring cooker, kettle,fridge and sink. Ideal for a quick breakfast if you need to be out early.
Only fault is that the rooms are starting to look a little tired.

I have stayed in Aparthotel Silver in Barcelona from 10 to 15 of June, 2009, with my girlfriend and we loved it! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The location is just a 2 min. walk from the metro station (Fontana, L3, green line). Its a quiet neighbourhood, with some bars, although we preferred those on Las Ramblas and close to the Port. The room has a lot of space, modern look and new with a kitchnette within a closet. The bathroom not so spacious but still was very clean and new. As to the general cleaning of the room we don't have any complaints. Definitly worthwile, specially if you want to save some money on the accomodation side. We recomend it and we'll stay there again when we come back to Barcelona. A very pleasant stay. |

Hotel vicinissimo alla metro Fontana,
La camera da noi prenotata a 59 euro per notte era la budget, cioè la più economica, ma nonostante questo era attrezzatissima.
In camera avevamo un TV al plasma grande, dentro alle ante dell'armadio era racchiuso un mini cucinino con frigo, due piastre e lavatoio attrezzato di tutto, ho trovato persino la moka !!!! In una cestina avevano messo detersivo x piatti, spugna, strofinacci, oltre a sale, zucchero, te e caffè!!!
Abbiamo accolto con molto piacere anche la scatola di cioccolatini che abbiamo trovato al nostro arrivo!!!
Nel bagno pyulitissimo c'era una cesta completa di tutto,persino la crema corpo.
Unica pecca la finestra dava su un cortile interno, quindi con poca luce, ma per il prezzo e il servizio, non possiamo certo lamentarci per questo.
Bello e comodo anche il giardino interno dove veniva servita la prima colazione. |

“Excellent value, quiet location”
What a nice little place! We arrived too early to check in, but the very courteous and helpful (and completely fluent in English) staff kept our luggage locked for us until we could check in. The rooms are a fairly comfortable size and there is an entire kitchen behind a closet door! We did not pay for the hotel's breakfast, as we were able to store food in the room's kitchen (there is a grocery store around the corner). Bathrooms are very clean and modern, though on the small side. My only complaint is that our room looked onto a little courtyard--while quiet, I would have preferred a view of the street. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, but there are still lots of shops around (similar to if you stayed on the Upper West Side of NYC), and the hotel is just one block away from the L3 metro line, just a handful of stops from the center of the city and other metro lines. There is also free internet in the lobby, which was a huge plus. We overslept past check out time the day we were to leave, but the staff was very understanding and did not charge us for another day. While it isn't in center city, the quiet and ease of the metro make this a great find at a great price! |

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on 9 Apr 09. Was received warmly at the reception desk upon arrival. That was a good start. The room has all the necessary amenities. Liked the idea of having a small stove where we could cook some noodles to cut down the expenses of dining outside. The cleaning maid did a good job in cleaning up the room daily. One downside was the air-con which was not cold enough but it did not affect us much considering the cold weather outside. It was a short distance on foot from Fontana station. Cross the traffic light when you are outside the metro station. And bingo, you will not fail to miss the hotel with the flags flying outside it. | “Very nice hotel”
We stayed here during a four day visit to Barcelona. The taxi driver knew exactly where this hotel was. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in late in the evening spoke very little English but was patient with my Spanish and was very helpful. The daytime front desk clerk was fluent in English and also very helpful. There were lots of tourist brochures in the lobby as well as newspapers/weeklies in Spanish and English.
We stayed in one of the older rooms (the hotel was undergoing renovations), but found it - although a tad shabby - very clean and comfortable. Our window looked out into a nice little courtyard. We were worried about late night noise but luckily it was very quiet in the evenings the entire time we stayed there.
First, some bad things: When we booked online we read that the hotel has laundry service, which we thought meant there was a laundry room on the premises. Turns out that it's actually a "send out" type service you pay extra for - you put your laundry in a provided plastic bag and leave it for the cleaning service to take care of for you. The price was a little unreasonable and we didn't like that too much. If you need to do laundry, there is a laundromat (in Spanish, a lavanderia) a reasonable walk away from the hotel: Bugaderia Wash n'Dry on Carrer Torrent De l'Olla. Google Map it to see where it is exactly.
We also didn't like that you had to pay for wi fi service. There's free internet at a public computer in the lobby, but every time we went downstairs in the evening, someone was always on.
Now the good: For about an extra 10 Euros a night, you can have breakfast buffet included during your stay. This was one of the best things about the hotel, as we expected a simple continental type breakfast (pastries, cafe con leche, and fruit), but when we came down to the cafe the first morning, we were very pleasantly surprised. Although there were no hot items, there was a plethora of yummy things like breads, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, cheeses and meats. Definitely worth the extra money. If you're trying to save a little, you can load up on breakfast and have a light lunch or quick, inexpensive tapa during the afternoon. There's also a mini fridge in the room if you want to buy food at a store.
The hotel is in a great location in the Gracia district, literally one block up from the Fontana station and so it was easy to get everywhere in the city.
All in all, a good place to stay. |

Aparthotel Silver is an apartment hotel (fridge and kitchenette) just about 20 minutes walk from Plaza de Catalunya. It is situated in Gracia which is an area where middle class Barceloneans live, shop and eat.
I stayed here for the third time, this time with my children (16 and 18 years old). One of my children is disabled and we had asked for a roomwith disabled access. We got that confirmed and the room was excellent.
When my daughters wheelchair had a flat tire the people at the hotel repaired it for us. they did not even charge us for it (I would not have argued...). Excellent service!
Also the hotel is placed really well if you prefer to stay off the real hot places, although you can easily crawl back from the Ramblas late in the morning... |

| I stayed in this hotel in January with my boyfriend and was very happy with it. It is in a brilliant location and we could not believe how easy it was to find, it is a 1min walk from the metro station!! The staff were quite helpful, but would not go out of their way to help you. The room was a little bit old fashioned but had a lovely bathroom with a large bath. It also had a very useful kitchenette where it was nice to store cool water and snacks ! Overall I though this was very good value for money and in a perfect location, I would have no hesitation in returning or recommending it to friends. |

| “Easy access to Metro and main street to centre of City”I stayed with my daughter for 3 nights. We followed the excellet instructions from Barcelona Airport and arrived with no trouble at all (train + Metro which is 1 min walk away from the hotel). Particular thanks must go to Assumpter on the Reception desk who spoke excellent English and explained everything very clearly (she also spoke fluent French). The room was clean and adequately furnished. The ensuite had an excellent shower. There was also a portable fan which worked very well and was necessary on the first night.
There were only 2 niggles - the garden only saw the sun at midday when we were out of the hotel anyway (it was surrounded by high buildings). The room at the front of the hotel was rather noisy - particulary on the Saturday night when Barcelon beat Real Madrid 6-2!!
Although Assumpted spoke excellent English - the maids smiled an managed hello and the other recetion staff had less command despite having "lots of English and North American visitors". |

| GREAT HOTEL! Very well located, 2 minute walk to nearest metro station in a nice area. We had a comfort room which was really nice. Kitchen area had a fridge, microwave, kettle and hob. Nice bathroom with shower, all very clean. Room was cleaned daily. Only disadvantage was that our room had no natural light whatsoever making it very dark in the daytime. It was difficult to know what to wear as we couldn\\\'t see out of the window! Staff were reasonably helpful. On our last day we were able to leave our bags in reception to save having to carry them around as we were on an evening flight. Free internet access was very useful. Did nid use the cafe/bar as made breakfast in our room and then were out for the rest of the day. A well priced hotel and we would gladly return to both the hotel and Barcelona Would I recommend this hotel to my best friend? absolutely! | VERY CONVENIENT Oct 12, 2008 The hotel is located just across the street from Fontana metro station, which makes it easy to arrive from El Prat airport (take Renfe train till Passeig de Gracia, then take L3 towards Trinitad Nova / Caneyelles, and you can use the same T-10 trip for this, as long as it takes no more than 1.15 min). What I loved most was the location, on foot it took about 40 min to get to the seaside, on a wide shopping street which gives into Las Ramblas. The hotel room we had (comfort) was fairly big, cleaned daily, I found the kitchen really useful (dishes, fridge.. ), the bathroom was also nice. The only flaw of this hotel is that noise can be easily heard, so make sure to get earplugs. All in all, if walls were thicker, this hotel would be perfect. | GOOD LOCATION Oct 6, 2008 Although on a drab and narrow side street this hotel is just yards fom the Fontana metro station. We found this to be the ideal way to get around for our short visit to Barcelona using the 10euro 2-day pass, Hotel room was small but clean and well maintained and our room was quiet.(Friends had a room overlooking the street and found it noisy on the Friday night into the small hours). We booked through the hotel web-site and got a rate of 105 euro per night - very reasonble for Barcelona. Breakfast was extra - served on a small terrace - continental- adequate - 9 euros. Most front desk staff had excellent English and were very helpful. Good restaurants nearby or a short metro ride gets you to Las Ramblas with all kinds of eateries.

| SEMPLICEMENTE FANTASTICO! 24 nov 2008 (tripadvisor) Nulla da obiettare! Comodo: si trova in zona centrale: fermata Fontana della metro verde L3. E\' pulito,accogliente,ristrutturato da poco. La temperatura nella stanza è ideale per dormire sempre con pigiama leggero...o anche meno! Ha un piccolo angolo cottura:frigo,2 fornelli e lavandino. Troppo comodo per la colazione fai da te e per riscaldare la paella avanzata dal ristorante la sera prima (la cameriera ce l\'ha gentilmente messa in una vaschetta!). In camera c\'è il lettore mp3 e l\'albergo mette a disposizione gratuitamente un computer con accesso ad internet (anch\'esso gratuito). Silenziosa nonostante sia in pieno centro, perchè la stanza si affaccia su un minuscolo cortile interno. Io sono stata nella camera \"Comfort\". Attenzione: credo,ma non ne sono sicura, che le camere \"Comfort con terrazza\" siano sulla strada, quindi più rumorose!! C\'è l\'ascensore. Alla reception parlano italiano. Ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo:71.10 euro una stanza doppia con bagno; però c\'era una promozione autunno-inverno! Contro: la colazione è a parte e costa troppo! |

This is going to be such a positive review, people will think I must be the owner or a relative of the manager. Not true!
Our family group of 11 people in 6 rooms stayed here twice in the summer of 2008, for one night upon arriving in Barcelona and then for two nights a week later.
All our arrangements were made by email with the hotel and everything was friendly and professional; all was as we expected when we arrived.
The location is terrific - in the Gracia neighborhood (sometimes called "the Greenwich Village of Barcelona"), one block from the Fontana station on the L3 Metro line. If you are new to Barcelona (as we were), let me tell you that being close to the L3 is ideal - it makes it easy to go everywhere that you want to visit while in the city. (Get a T-10 pass and figure out the system by which multiple people can use the same ticket.) All sorts of shops and services also are close at hand. The area felt safe and fun - we loved it.
This is not a luxury hotel - and you won't pay luxury rates. Instead, it is a medium-size operation with clean, efficient, and quiet rooms at a very fair price. So don't stay here if you want the Ritz. But if you don't want to pay for the Ritz, this is the place for you - you won't be disappointed. Look at their very honest Web site; it gives you a perfect feel for what the hotel is like. If you like what you see online, then it's a good bet that you will be happy when you arrive.
The beds mostly fill the rooms, but still they've fit in a desk, a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, cooktop), a closet, and a fold-down shelf. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are functional. Everything was clean and maintained well. There is a charming courtyard where you can enjoy breakfast or gather your group for cocktails in the evening. There's a computer with Internet available at no charge in the lobby (but you may have to wait your turn to use it), or you can pay for access to WiFi by the hour or by the day.
If you get the concept that hotel rooms are where you sleep, then you will find Aparthotel Silver offers a great way to save some money and still have a solid and enjoyable base of operations while you visit an exciting and beautiful city (with, incidentally, perfect summer weather).
Finally, I have to add a word about the staff. We have never met friendlier, more helpful people. Beyond being cheerful and friendly, they were knowledgeable and eager to help in any way. Thank you, Aparthotel Silver.

This is a great little hotel with excellent helpful staff. All rooms are pleasant clean and have a small kitchenette. There is free use of the internet connection in reception. Breakfast should you choose to take it is served in the courtyard garden and there is plenty of choice. It is two minutes away from the nearest metro and there are enough restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance of the hotel. We only stayed two nights on our first visit but unexpectedly returning to Barcelona a week later we chose to stay again at Hotel Silver. A pity the English Father and son booking in at the same time were so ignorant to the staff who were trying to help them.

I stayed at the Aparthotel Silver for four nights last month (April 2008). I was travelling with my mother, who hadn't been to Barcelona since 1989, so I was hoping to find somewhere nice to stay - but not too expensive (we were on quite a tight budget). Unfortunately it seemed to be a very expensive time to book a hotel in Barcelona, possibly because of St George's Day, but we managed to find rooms at the Hotel Silver for a reasonable price.
On each floor of the hotel there are 2 rooms facing onto an internal courtyard which is not open to the sky (there's a panel of small glass squares at the top) and because we opted for the cheapest rooms, these were the ones we got. I found it a bit strange not having any natural light in the room at all, and as it was quite warm and the air conditioning is not allowed to go below a certain temperature, it did get quite hot and stuffy. (There was an electric fan supplied in each room, but mine was slightly faulty and my mother's didn't work at all.) But it was a comfortable room, with a kitchenette (which we didn't use) and a fridge, and the bathroom - although small - was clean and had a good shower. The little box of chocolates left for us on the bed was a nice gesture.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast, served partly in the bar and partly in a kind of marquee going out into the garden, was good - pastries, jam, cheese, ham, toast, fruit, cereal and typically strong Spanish coffee.
The hotel is in the Gracia district of Barcelona which is a very nice neighbourhood, busy and attractive without being too touristy.
I would definitely stay at the Hotel Silver again, although next time I would save up for an outside-facing room.

the rooms were very convinient, a bit small but very satisfying.
the location is the best. fontana metro station is just nearby.
definetly reccomend this hotel.

| We just returned from our 10 day trip to Spain and stayed at the Silver Aprthotel from April 2-5. After extensive research on trip advisor, I booked the hotel for my wife and I as well as another couple and we were not dissapointed. We chose the Silver based on price as well as location (conveniently near the metro).
The Hotel: While a small hotel, it has a friendly atmosphere and all of the people who worked reception were kind and spoke excellent English. We stayed in a standard room (double bed for 92 euros). The room was small but this appears to be the trend in Europe (correctly advertised based on the pictures from the website). Not a big deal since we didn't spend much time there.
It was clean and had a decent bathroom. Would recommend keeping your windows closed at night though to keep the noise down that comes from passer-bys on the street at 2am.
Getting there: It cost us 35 euros to arrive by taxi from the airport (extra charge for 2 pieces of luggage and travel from the aiport itself). Keep in mind this was at 8am and during rush hour, otherwise I expect it would have cost ~25 euros as the hotel site indicated. You can also arrive by taking the aeroport bus (pay when you get on) from the Airport to Plaza Catalunya and then take the metro from Plaza Catalunya to Fontana (L3/Green Line towards Zona Universitat) for ~4 euros + ~1 euro respectively. I would recommend buying the T10 pass (as per other reviews) for the metro which cost 7.5 euros (purchased at the entrance of every metro stop, provides a total of 10 rides per card, and can be used by multiple passengers). The hotel is only 50 yrds from the Fontana stop (which is 3 stops from Plaza Catalunya, the hub of the city). FYI- Our friends took the aeroport bus + metro to the hotel and said it was cumbersome carrying their luggage up the stairs/escalators at the metro.
Location: As above, the hotel is conveniently located near the Fontana metro stop and is a 20-25 min walk to las Ramblas (although we always took the metro). There are several restaurants near the hotel as well as small bakeries and such. Never ate breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that. It was nice to be away from the craziness of Las Ramblas as other reviewers have commented.
Would defintely recommend this Hotel to other travelers based on price and location near the metro.

Parfaitement situé, au calme, dans un quartier vivant, intégré à une population locale. La proximité des grand axes de circulation et des transports en communs facilitent l'accés à l'ensemble de la ville.
Les chambres sont fonctionnelles et propres.
Le personnels est acceuillant et parle français.
Un plus incontestable quand le temps le permet, le petit déjeuner buffet sur la terrasse, un vrai bonheur. |

| ?Great Hotel!!! We are going back...?
We were a little worried about where to stay in Barcelona on our honeymoon, but this was by far the best place. We loved it and the people were great. We had a wonderful stay and hotel employees knew every direction we may need. The use of their internet also made it so wonderful when we missed our flight to Paris. Out of all the places we stayed in Spain we liked this the best. We are for sure heading back!
