APARTHOTEL SILVER EARNS 2016 TRIPADVISOR CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE

 Barcelona Spain, 25 May 2016  Aparthotel Silver today announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. Now in its sixth year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

Tripadvisor vision:“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “This recognition helps travelers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travelers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”

Tripadvisor rules:The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

I came to know that Barcelona is filled to the brim with various ApartHotel concepts. Which I also came to know is an apartment style room with hotel style service thus – “ApartHotel” and I had the pleasure of discovering this concept at one of Barcelona’s best – ‘Aparthotel Silver’ located just a short walk away from the main Catalunya strip, infact we walked to our dinner reservations one of the nights as it was so close by in the main hub, also close by is Casa Batlló one of Gaudi’s designs

What I liked at Aparthotel Silver in Barcelona:

• our Superior room of 35 m² – as it was 3 of us, we had a king size room and a big sofa and a little kitchen (with fridge, kettle, microwave) which came in handy when the girls bought bread baguettes and traditional Spanish jamon (ham.) We also had a 32” TV, DVD, hi-fi stereo and a hair dryer to use.

• a welcome champagne (which made the girls happy) and a box with different chocolates (which made me more than happy)

• big corner bathtub in the bathroom. Sorry, but no bathtub laptop-bikini photos are coming now as I had no time for travel blogging.

• beautiful terrace – we had a terrace of the same length as the whole apartment, with sun beds, different flowers and a table with chairs. Aaaand with UMELY grass where I could walk barefoot, yay! Shame we did not spend any time during the day here to sunbathe and enjoy the views through the red and pink flower petals, but then, hey, we managed to find an hour or two for the beach every day. Better, right?

Hotel Review: Aparthotel Silver, Barcelona

On my recent travels around Spain, I spent a few days in Barcelona, both before and after attending TBEX Europe 2015in Costa Brava. For my second stay in the city after the conference, I knew I wanted to base myself in Gracia, the city’s hippest neighborhood that is home to artists and, as many locals say, feels different from the rest of the city. Obviously, my curiosity was stoked. It sounded like Gracia was my kind of neighborhood and this time around, I had the pleasure of staying with Aparthotel Silver. I must admit that it’s not often that I feel as spoilt as I did when staying at this lovely hotel apartment
